Digital Marketing for Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeons
Cosmetic patients research for weeks before they book a consultation. They compare surgeons, read about the procedure, and look for reasons to trust a clinic. We help plastic and cosmetic surgeons in India be easy to find during that research, and give patients clear, honest information, within the NMC's 2026 advertising guidelines. CENITPRO has been a healthcare-focused digital marketing agency since 2012.
The Rules Changed in October 2026
On 6 October 2026 the National Medical Commission issued its Guidelines on Ethical Advertising and Public Communication, effective immediately. They hit cosmetic surgery marketing harder than almost any other specialty. Promotional before-and-after photographs, advertised surgical results, celebrity patients and success stories are no longer allowed, except for strictly scientific or educational use with anonymised consent. Patient testimonials are out too, and patient consent does not make them acceptable. If your website or Instagram was built on these, the first job is to take them down. What we will not do for your clinic:
- Publish before-and-after photos, transformation videos or surgical results
- Use patient testimonials, success stories or celebrity patients
- Call you "the best", "No. 1" or promise "100%" or "permanent" results
- Run discount, package or limited-time offers
- Buy, request or showcase reviews as promotion
- Use AI-generated patient images or stories
What builds trust instead. With the before-and-after gallery gone, patients judge a clinic on what’s left: the surgeon’s qualifications and registration, how clearly the procedure is explained, how the consultation works, and how quickly someone answers their question. So that’s what we build. Source: NMC public notice, 6 October 2026 (clauses 6.2 and 8.1). Read our guide to SEO for plastic surgeons in India.
How We Work
Every engagement follows the same five steps, starting with a compliance clean-up.
- Discovery Session: a call to understand your clinic, your procedures and your city
- Compliance audit: we review your website, Google profile, social pages and ads against the October 2026 guidelines, and list what has to come down
- Plan: a 90-day plan, clean-up first, then procedure pages and profiles, then ads
- Execute: our team does the work, and your surgeon approves every page and ad that describes a procedure before it goes live
- Report: monthly reporting on enquiries by source, calls, WhatsApp messages and search visibility
Hair transplant clinics. The same approach applies. The guidelines rule out before-and-after galleries for hair restoration too, so we lead with the surgeon’s credentials and registration, clear explanations of the procedure and recovery, and how the consultation works, without graft-price offers or package deals.
A healthcare-focused team since 2012, a dedicated account manager, and six in-house departments: Performance Marketing, Social Media, SEO, Video Production, Website Design and Content Writing.

Six pieces of work, all checked against the NMC guidelines and our own Ad Compliance Checklist before anything goes live.

Google Business Profile and Local SEO

Questions Plastic Surgeons Ask Us
Not for promotion. The NMC’s October 2026 guidelines prohibit promotional before-and-after photographs and advertised surgical results. The exception is strictly scientific or educational use with anonymised patient consent, such as a journal publication.
No. The guidelines say patient consent does not make a prohibited testimonial acceptable.
Your surgeon’s qualifications and registration, clear procedure explanations, how the consultation works, your clinic and team, and educational videos. Done well, that answers most of what a patient wants to know before booking.
Yes. Hair restoration falls under the same rules: no before-and-after galleries, testimonials or graft-price offers as promotion. We build the same credentials-and-education approach for hair transplant clinics.
Yes. Our office is in Kolkata, and we work with clinics across India over calls, video meetings and WhatsApp.
No. Google decides rankings, and an agency that promises a position is promising something it does not control. We commit to the work, and we report on it every month.
