KIMS Doubles Its Anantapur Hospital to 500 Beds

KIMS Hospitals has expanded KIMS Saveera Hospital in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, doubling its bed capacity to 500.

It’s another sign of where the big chains are growing: tier-2 cities where patients used to travel to Hyderabad or Bengaluru for complex care.

What it means for independent hospitals and specialists in tier-2 cities: when a large chain expands nearby, it brings a large advertising budget with it. Independent practices can’t outspend that, but they can be more specific and more personal: a complete Google profile, a page for every procedure, doctor profiles that answer patients’ questions plainly, and a fast reply on WhatsApp. Patients searching for a particular procedure in a particular area are often better served, and better reached, by a focused local practice.
