Digital Marketing for Ophthalmologists and Eye Hospitals
People look for an eye hospital in two very different moods: a family planning a parent's cataract surgery over several weeks, and someone with sudden blurred vision who needs help today. Both start on Google. We help ophthalmologists and eye hospitals in India be easy to find for both, explain procedures clearly, and keep every ad and page within the NMC's 2026 guidelines. CENITPRO has been a healthcare-focused digital marketing agency since 2012.
What the Rules Mean for Eye Care
Ophthalmologists work under the NMC’s Guidelines on Ethical Advertising and Public Communication, issued on 6 October 2026: no testimonials, before-and-after material, success rates, superlatives or offers. Diseases and disorders of the eye are also listed in the Schedule of the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954. Eye care marketing is full of “spectacle-free”, “perfect vision” and “painless” promises, and those are exactly the claims to avoid. What we will not do for your hospital:
- Promise "spectacle-free", "perfect" or "guaranteed" vision after any procedure
- Call LASIK or cataract surgery "painless" or "risk-free"
- Publish success rates, patient testimonials or success stories
- Call you "the best", "leading" or "most experienced"
- Run discount, package or "free check-up camp" offers as promotion
- Buy, request or showcase reviews as promotion
Real work, real numbers. We manage the Google Business Profile for Drishtideep Eye Institute at Dankuni. Over three months, their profile recorded 1,132 calls, 1,179 direction requests and 2,465 profile interactions. Read the case study. How We Work
We work with single-surgeon eye clinics, multi-specialty eye hospitals and groups with several centres. Every engagement follows the same five steps.
- Discovery Session: a call to understand your hospital, your surgeons, your sub-specialties and your catchment
- Compliance audit: we review your website, Google profiles, social pages and ads against the NMC guidelines and the DMR Act, and list what has to change
- Plan: a 90-day plan, clean-up first, then procedure pages and profiles for each centre, then ads
- Execute: our team does the work, and your ophthalmologist approves every page and ad that describes a procedure before it goes live
- Report: monthly reporting on enquiries by source, calls, WhatsApp messages and search visibility, centre by centre
A healthcare-focused team since 2012, a dedicated account manager, and six in-house departments: Performance Marketing, Social Media, SEO, Video Production, Website Design and Content Writing.
What We Do
Six pieces of work, all checked against the NMC guidelines, the DMR Act and our own Ad Compliance Checklist before anything goes live.

Procedure Pages That Educate
One page each for cataract surgery, LASIK and refractive surgery, glaucoma, retina, squint and oculoplasty: who it’s for, the consultation and tests, recovery and risks in general terms. No outcome promises. Reviewed by your ophthalmologist.

Surgeon Profiles
Qualifications, registration numbers, training and sub-specialties for each doctor, set out factually.

Google Business Profiles for Every Centre
Correct names, categories, hours, services and photos, plus separate practitioner profiles where Google allows, so each centre appears for searches near it.

Google Search Ads
Campaigns on procedure and locality searches, such as cataract surgery or a retina specialist near the patient, with factual copy within NMC guidelines and Google’s healthcare policies.

Education-Led Video
Your surgeons explaining procedures, tests and recovery in plain language, made by our in-house video team. Useful for families deciding on a parent’s surgery.

Fast Enquiry Handling
Click-to-call, WhatsApp and short forms, so an urgent eye problem gets a quick answer and a planned surgery gets a clear next step.

Questions Ophthalmologists Ask Us
No. Outcome promises are ruled out by the NMC’s October 2026 guidelines, and eye disorders are listed under the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act. You can explain who may be suitable for LASIK, what the evaluation involves and what recovery looks like.
Camps that genuinely serve the community can be announced factually. Using “free” camps as a lead-generation offer for surgery is the kind of promotion the guidelines restrict, so we treat these carefully, case by case.
Each centre gets its own Google Business Profile and locality page, and reporting is split by centre so you can see which locations need attention.
Yes. Our office is in Kolkata, and we work with hospitals across India over calls, video meetings and WhatsApp.
No. Google decides rankings, and an agency that promises a position is promising something it does not control. We commit to the work, and we report on it every month.
