Background item: the launch was reported on 29 June 2026, more than a month ago. We are covering it because small-clinic owners are still asking about it.
The Centre has launched e-Sushrut@Clinic, a cloud-based hospital management system built by C-DAC for small clinics, primary health centres and private outpatient facilities. Medical Dialogues reported that Union Health Minister JP Nadda was set to launch it.
What was reported
The system covers patient registration, billing and MIS reporting. It also has speech-to-text documentation, clinical decision support and ABDM features, and it is meant for users with limited technical experience.
Pricing was reported as Rs 499 per month for up to five users. A Rs 200 subsidy under the arrangement between the National Health Authority (NHA) and C-DAC brings that to Rs 299 per month. The first three months are free, and each additional user costs Rs 50 per month.
Only professionals registered in the Health Professional Registry (HPR) can use it, and onboarding involves the Health Facility Registry (HFR). Per official data cited in the reports, more than 800 facilities have onboarded. C-DAC handles maintenance. NHA covers cloud hosting and patient SMS, and provides first-level support through its call centre.
What this means for your clinic
If you still run registration and billing on paper or spreadsheets, this is a low-cost option to evaluate. One concrete check: confirm that you and your facility are listed in the HPR and HFR, and note the name and address shown there. Make sure they match your clinic website and Google Business Profile exactly, because mismatched details create problems for both onboarding and local search. Also ask your staff who will enter patient data, and check that consent and privacy practices meet the law before you move records into any system.
This is a news summary, not legal or medical advice, and it does not suggest any outcome from adopting the system.
